The gift of sex is a vital conversation and one that brings an array of emotions to the surface. In a culture with a wide variety of viewpoints mixed with our own stories, we all bring expectations and disappointments to the table. In this episode, Terra talks with Melinda Arnold, a Licensed Professional Counselor on our Living Wholehearted Counseling Team, who is also a speaker, wife, and mom to two boys. Melinda is one of the breakout speakers for the InCourage 2020 Gathering, speaking on How to Raise our Kids with Healthy Sexuality. As a Certified Sex Therapist, couples and trauma therapist, she addresses the topic of sex from a wholistic lens and brings an expertise founded in both grace and a wealth of experience. In Part 1, we cover the myths of sex, how healthy sexuality is developed, as well as what most couples struggle with and why. In Part 2 (found exclusively on the Courageous Girls Patreon site for CG Partners), we cover how to help our children with healthy sexuality and how to shift the messages of shame in our own story to one of hope, empowerment, and aligned with God's greater design.

Episode 6: The Courageous Girls Movement Part 1

Episode 6: The Courageous Girls Movement Part 1

November 26, 2019

Girls are receiving confusing messages everywhere they turn.  Jeff and Terra launched a movement to equip moms (and dads) to have intentional dialogues with their daughters at every stage of the developing years.  Starting with their own daughters, they have a passion to help a generation of moms and daughters experience what it means to live loved and to love well. In this particular episode, Terra takes time to dialogue with the Courageous Girls Leadership Coaches, Beth Kershner and Stephanie West, unpacking their own journeys as CG mamas, leaders, and how to start a group.  Whether you are a CG mom, or know a mom of girls, you'll be encouraged to share this with someone you love!

Episode 5: Living From Who You Are: Core Values Index & Conflict Resolution Part 4

Episode 5: Living From Who You Are: Core Values Index & Conflict Resolution Part 4

November 18, 2019
We are unpacking our conflict strategies and how we can learn to become more aware, honor one another, and maybe event prevent or repair the hurts we cause each other JUST BECAUSE WE ARE DIFFERENT. We talk conflict in the workplace, our marriages, and with our children. As oldest children who like to be in "charge", you'll find this episode full of real, raw, and good tools for not only finding your own voice but allowing room for others. This is how we start to shrink the integrity gap between the values we espouse, "I love my spouse", and how we actually put that into practice, "But my way is better, so get on board!".
